JMart This show, and this run, just didn't have a ton of memorable moments for me. I get that the emphasis was probably more on friends and fun that any serious musical exploration, and maybe that's a good thing from time to time. It's just that the price tag seems pretty dang hefty for the amount of musical payout. Second set becomes jukebox phish (whoever coined this term really hit the nail on the head) and the encore shows the continuing mashup trend. I wonder if instead of trying to shoehorn in a mike's groove, tweezer, carini, and ghost into a second set, it might be a better idea to just play up to the tropical vibes and take it easy, play some mellower sets. We basically chomped our way through the whole stream in front of the tee vee- I can't blame anyone for treating this run like a mellow spring break. Safe travels, everybody.
