Lemuria Sentences aren't always about the offender, as in punishment or rehabilitation. Sometimes, it's about other potential offenders (as in deterrence) or the rest of society (isolation). Isn't there a broad consensus that we'd like nitrous distribution deterred and kept away, regardless of whether one of the dumbasses apprehended happened to get scraped and bruised on his way to jail? Would local authorities reconsider pressing charges if there was a national outcry from fans about them letting him get off "easy"?
